Emmerling, Tamara L. – of Flushing, age 46, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday morning, June 18, 2014 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Monday, June 23, 2014 at Westside Church – 5090 Pasadena Ave. in Flushing. Pastor Wade Morris officiating. Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Friends may call at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio on Saturday from 11 AM - 8 PM, Sunday from 1-8 PM and at the church on Monday from 11 AM until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Westside Church.
Tammy was born November 20, 1967 in Flint, Michigan. She graduated from Swartz Creek High School. Tammy married Ed Emmerling on May 16, 1987. She had resided in Flushing the past 22 years coming from Swartz Creek. Tammy was employed by Dr. John Stoker for over 20 years. She was a member and the pastor's wife of Westside Church in Flushing. Tammy enjoyed shopping, baking cookies (the best in the world) and her personal ministry of sending cards of encouragement. She especially loved being a mother and spending time with her family.
Surviving are: Husband, Ed; 3 Children: Aldo (Natalie) Gecele of Grand Blanc, Justin Emmerling of Swartz Creek and Brooke (Matt) Wagner of Flushing. Grandma, Mary Turner. Father and mother in law: Ron and Sandy Emmerling of Swartz Creek. 2 brothers: Derek Fechik and Fiance Amanda Ronk of Frankenmuth, Gerry Fechik of Saginaw. Sister, Sundae (Joel) Peterson of Frankenmuth. Sisters and brothers in law: Melissa (Alexis) Marrero of Flushing and Marie (Johnny) Caudle of Burton. Special family members, Piero and Susanna Gecele. Tammy is also survived by an expectant grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Tammy was preceded in death by her mother, Donna Valkoun and grandfather, James V. Turner.
