HARTLEY, Darlene – of Davison, age 83, passed away Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Hospice House of Shiawassee County. A Funeral Service will be held at 12 PM Saturday, May 15, 2021 at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 9020 South Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, MI 48439; Pastor Jerry Lasley officiating. Entombment will be held at 2 PM in Flint Memorial Park on Saturday, May 15, 2021. Visitation will be held from 11 AM to 12 PM, Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice House of Shiawassee County, 2005 Copas Road, Owosso, MI 48867 or Humane Society of Genesee County, G-3325 Dort Hwy, Burton, MI 48529.
Darlene was born in Flint, MI on March 24, 1938, daughter of the late Erwin and Vivian (King) Wallace. She married William Hartley on September 6, 1957. Darlene was an avid boater, member of the church choir, and enjoyed Karaoke. She was a member of the Flint Sweet Adelines for many years. Darlene enjoyed most of all spending time with family and friends.
Darlene is survived by her loving husband, William Hartley; children, Rene’ (Henry) Carpenter, William (Karen) Hartley II and Curt (Jenniffer) Hartley; grandchildren, Cari, Krystyn (Mark), Tyler, Erika and Brittany (Russ); eight great grandchildren; special cat, Cali and grand-dog, Anya; many other loving family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Wallace.
