Harry E. Mercier, age 88, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2022, at MyMichigan Health in Midland, Michigan. He was born on September 1, 1933, in Mt Morris, Michigan to the late Arthur and Loretta (LaRose) Mercier. Harry was a devoted member to Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Gladwin, Michigan. He enjoyed snowmobiling, boating and spending time with his family and his friends. He met and married the love of his life Nancy S. Warren on May 8, 1954, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Flint, Michigan. Together they shared 67 years full of laughter and memories. Harry also served in the United States Army in the Korean War. He later retired from the Genesee Sheriff's Department.
Harry is survived by his wife, his children; Larry (Debbie) Mercier, Denis Mercier, Diane Moore, and Keith Mercier, five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings; Jim (Marjorie) Mercier, Kate June Jackett, Caroline Kettererr, Chuck (Barbara) Mercier, and Francis (Kathy) Mercier and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by sister, Marge Miller, and his father and mother in laws.
A funeral mass will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5191 Richfield Rd., Flint, Michigan 48506 on Monday April 18, 2022, at 11 am with Rev. Fr. Roy Horning presiding with burial in Meadowview Memorial Park. Family will greet friends and family at Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Gladwin Chapel, 135 North Silverleaf St., Gladwin, Michigan on Wednesday April 13, 2022 from 1 to 5 pm a Rosary Service will be held at 3 pm at the funeral chapel. On Monday family will greet friends and family at the church from 10 am until time of Mass. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Mission. Arrangements have been entrusted to Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home-Gladwin Chapel.
