HEUSTED, Janice Louise (Stillman) – of Davison, MI, formerly of Otisville, MI, age 88, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Charter Senior Living of Davison. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Monday, November 29, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Road, Davison, MI 48423; The Rev. Sue Colavincenzo officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery, Otisville, MI. Visitation will be 1-5 PM Sunday, November 28, 2021 and 10-11 AM Monday, November 29, 2021 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made, in Janice’s memory, to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan.
Janice was born in Detroit, MI on May 25, 1933, daughter of the late James and Louise (Rieman) Stillman. She was a graduate of Otter Lake High School Class of 1951. Janice Stillman married Dale Heusted on May 8, 1954 and he preceded her in death on February 6, 2014. She was a bookkeeper at GM-Ternstedt for several years, an Avon Sales Representative, a U.S. Census Taker and a supervisor of the gravel business operated by Saginaw Asphalt. Janice enjoyed reading, traveling, game playing, summers at the cottage on Lake Huron and spending time with her family.
Janice is survived by 3 daughters, Kimberley (Tom) Shade of Davison, MI, Laurie (Greg) Mersino of Allendale, MI and Shelley Walts (Paul Cronin) of Hampton, NH; 6 grandchildren, Lisa (Terry) Katzur, Amy (Jason) Blandford, Julie (James) VanEvery, Sara (Chris) Yard, Jeffrey Shade and Emiley Walts; 6 great-grandchildren, Allison Katzur, Connor Blandford, Alaina Blandford, Carsyn Yard, Lennox Yard and Lily VanEvery; 2 sisters, Joan (Clair) Watkins of Lockport, NY and Julie (Paul) Robinson of Frankfort, MI; brother, James Stillman of Davison, MI; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Phyliss Heusted of FL, LaVerne (Phyllis) Heusted of Davison, MI and Gary (Mary) Heusted of Otter Lake, MI; many nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Louise Stillman; husband, Dale Heusted; 3 brothers-in-law, William Heusted, Doug Heusted and Roger Heusted; 2 sisters-in-law, Gerry Heusted and Diana Stillman.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Charter Senior Living of Davison-Memory Care for their care and attention to our mother in her final years.
