Mr. Glenn Miller Cosey age 59, passed away May 28, 2022. Funeral services will be held 11am, Saturday June 11, 2022 at Dodds Dumanois Funeral Home and Cremation Center 901 Garland St., Flint, MI. Family hour will begin 10am on Saturday and visitation will be held Friday, June 10, from 11-4pm at the funeral home. Cremation will take place after service. Pastor Worthy Lee Cosey will be officiating. Mr. Cosey was born January 25, 1963 in Hollandale, Mississippi to Archie Cosey Sr. and Emma (Daniels) Cosey. Mr. Cosey lived in Hollandale from 1963 to 1986. Cosey attended Simmons High School where was a standout football and track star. Mr. Cosey found God at an early age where he became a member of Evergreen MB Church under the leadership of Rev. E.P Powell where he served as an usher. In 1986 Mr. Cosey moved to Flint, Michigan to pursue better opportunities. Mr. Cosey loved to watch all types of sports, playing dominoes and cards, but most all Mr. Cosey loved spending time with his family.
Mr. Cosey leaves to cherish two sons Tremaine (Shanique) McGill of Fort Worth, Texas and Glenn Miller Cosey Jr. of Flint, Michigan, three stepdaughters Lashawnda, Keisha Hunter and Latonya McCraney all of Flint, Michigan; two sister Minnie Gill and Rosemary (Tommy) Jefferson, both of Flint, Michigan, six brothers Butler (Regina) Gaines of Greenville, Ms, David (Georgia) Cosey of Flint, Michigan, Eugene (Maggie) Cosey of Topeka, Kansas, Willie (Earlene) Cosey of Greenville, MS, Robert Cosey, Worthy (Naomi) Cosey both of Hollandale, MS, two grandchildren Tremaine McGill Jr. and Heaven Denise McGill, host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Mr.Cosey was preceded in death by parents, Archie Sr. and Emma (Daniels) Cosey, two brothers Archie Jr. and Everett Cosey, three sisters Viola Cosey Leonard, Susie Cosey and Elnora Cosey.
