Gregg J. Glaviano, age 58, from Flushing, Michigan died suddenly March 19th at his winter home in Surprise, Arizona. He was born June 2, 1952 in Corry, Pennsylvania where he resided until September of 1976 when he moved to Saginaw, Michigan to work for GM Saginaw Steering Gear. He retired from GM in 1996. He was a volunteer for the Citizens Patrol Group of the Surprise Police Department for 10 years. He had a great love of classic muscle cars and sports but especially baseball.

Gregg is survived by Mary Leinberger, his loving companion of 29 years, his father Joseph Glaviano and step-mother Helen of Corry, Pennsylvania, step-sister Charise Loranger of North East, PA, step-brothers Jim (Sue) Ohrn of Erie, Les (Rose) Ohrn of North East, PA & Karl (Diane) Ohrn of North Dakota. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Ashley Orhn of Phoenix, AZ, Adam Ohrn of Erie, PA, Aubrey Loranger of Baltimore, MD, Cameron Loranger of North East, PA, Jeff Ohrn (Tammy) of Pittsburg and Tracy Jackson (Michael) of Grove City, uncles, aunts and cousins.

He was predeceased in death by his mother Margaret Glaviano and several uncles and aunts.

Gregg’s wonderful unique sense of humor and big heart will keep him in the memory of his many friends in Arizona, Michigan and Pennsylvania. He will be forever missed.

There will be a memorial service in Surprise, AZ on March 27th at 2:00pm at the Surprise Public Safety Bldg. Funeral services will be held on April 2nd at Brackens Funeral Home in Corry, PA. Viewing will be from 9:00 am until 11:00 am with a service following.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that memorials be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Fund.
