David J. Palek, 46, left this life unexpectedly at home and entered into eternal life on May 21, 2011. Born March 30, 1965, in Pueblo, to Mary Lou and Chester L. Palek. Preceded in death by father, Chester; uncles and aunt, Edward Motoski, Flora and Frank Grebenc and Paul Addington. Left to treasure his memory are his mother, Mary Lou of the family home; siblings, Tom (Frances) Beaudette of Model, Colo., Nancy (John) Maxson of Pueblo and Richard Palek of Chippewa Falls, Wis.; nephews, John Beaudette, Zack Bellinger, Alex Ashby, Jacob Palek; niece, Samantha Lang; great niece, Alexxus Montoya; aunt, Pauline Addington; cousins, Geraldine Grebenc, Judy (Gary) Huppert, Joan (Dan) Medved, Ruth Addington; numerous other cousins and special friends. David loved the outdoors, bike riding, fishing, fly tying and garage sales. He was a cancer survivor and had many adventures including the Job Corps, fighting forest fires in Montana and crab fishing in Alaska. David will be remembered for his generous heart and his contributions to the homeless and his family through his church, and the love and care he gave to his elderly mother at home. He was very loved and will be sadly missed. Viewing, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday in the Montgomery & Steward Chapel.
