FRANCOIS, Franklin J. - Of Fenton, age 64, died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at McLaren-Flint.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11am Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 1227 East Bristol Road, Burton,
Father Jerry Ploof officiating.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Visitation 1-8pm Monday at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Visitation 10am Tuesday at church until the time of the service.
Franklin was born in Flint on March 16, 1953, the son of Frank and Mary (Kantor) Francois. He loved all sports, from pro to high school including golfing and bowling. He played guitar for years in local bands, recording his own music. Franklin was employed for 30 years at General Motors, starting at Buick in Flint and retiring from The Lake Orion Plant. Franklin was a former volunteer at Adopt-A-Pet and The Red Cross.
Surviving are wife of 42 years, Kim Francois of Fenton;
sons, Jeremy Francois of Flint and Jason Francois of Flint;
granddaughter, Ryleigh Herron of Flint;
brothers-in-law, Tom Sammon of Flushing and Pat Sammon of Port Huron;
sister, Kathy LeClaire of Flint;
sister-in-law. Roni Francois of Brooksville. FL;
special golf buddies, Jerry and Glen;
his dogs, Ozzie and Harriet;
nieces, nephews and lots of friends.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur Francois and Terry Francois.
