Kleinedler, John Thomas of Flushing, age 96, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at The Oaks at Woodfield in Grand Blanc. Funeral Mass will be 11 am Monday, December 18, 2017 at St. Robert Catholic Church with burial to follow at Flushing Cemetery. Fr. Gordon Reigle will officiate. A rosary service will be held at 7 pm on Sunday. Visitation will be 3-8 pm on Saturday and Sunday at Rossell Funeral Home and from 10-11 am Monday at the Church.
John was born in Gagetown, Michigan on September 18, 1921, the son of Ralph and Anna (Novak) Kleinedler. He worked for Buick for many years, and loved his Buicks. He always had a new Buick every year. John loved to keep busy and was always fixing something, whether it was at his own home or that of his neighbors. He was a jack-of-all-trades, and spent a lot of time working on his yard which he kept immaculate.
John is survived by his children: daughter, Judith Johnson (Russ), son, John (Ellen) Kleinedler, Jr., Douglas (Cheryl) Kleinedler, son, Michael (Diane) Kleinedler, son, Daniel (Tricia) Kleinedler, son, Richard (Audrey) Kleinedler, daughter, Mary (Scott) McGuire; 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ann Taylor; sister, Theresa Trecha; brother, Bill Kleinedler. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Agnes and his second wife, Frances; his daughter, Peggy VanSteenburg; his son, David Kleinedler; brother, Ralph Kleinedler; and sister, Helen Sovis.
