COGGINS, ANTHONY PATRICK - Of Grand Blanc, age 51, died Saturday, October 21, 2023 at Ascension Genesys Hospital.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 28, 2023 at St. John Vianney, 2415 Bagley Street, Flint, Father Thomas Firestone officiating.
Cremation will take place following the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. John Vianney Parish.
Visitation 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday, October 27, 2023 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. Anthony will be at the church from 10 a.m. Saturday until the time of the Mass.
Anthony was born in Flint, Michigan on December 5, 1971, the son of Dale and Janet (Easterbrook) Coggins.
On June 21, 2003 he married Kristy Kozloff at St. John Vianney.
He was a devoted family man. Anthony was a huge U of M fan. He was a beloved teacher at Holly High School who touched many lives. He was passionate about education; loved History; being a DJ and enjoyed singing. Anthony was fascinated by learning and made learning fun and presented material in ways that connected to his students.
He was the “Voice of the Holly Bronchos”; did PA work for MHSAA and U of M.
Surviving are wife, Kristy;
children, Emma and Bradlee;
parents, Dale and Janet;
sister, Lynnette;
mother and father-in-law, Jan and George Kozloff;
sisters-in-law, Karyn Kozloff and Kat (Garrett) Mason;
nephews, Wyatt and Emmett Mason.
He was preceded in death by his dear friend, Father Paul Schwermer.
