PHILLIPS, Jon Carl - Age 66, of Grand Blanc, passed away Monday, April 14, 2025. Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, May 9, 2025 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Grand Blanc (The service will be live streamed and can be viewed via Jon's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com). Rev. Stephanie Sorensen officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 5-8 PM and Friday, May 9, 2025 from 12:00 PM until the time of the service. In lieu of donations, Jon requests that everyone buy a scratch off lottery ticket and bring it to his service unscratched.
Jon was born January 17, 1959 in Flint, the son of Randall Eugene and Gloria (Young) Phillips. He was a 1977 graduate of Fenton High School and he received a Bachelor of Art's Degree in Psychology from Central Michigan University. He had resided in Grand Blanc since 1987 coming from Fenton. Jon had been employed by Joseph Pontiac and Vic Canever Chevrolet in the Finance Departments and he also had been employed by the State Bank in Fenton. He was a former member of the Fenton Lions Club.
Surviving are: his siblings, Jeff and wife Sue Phillips of Fenton, Jamie Phillips of Grand Blanc, Janine and husband Jeff Johnson of Fenton and Jason Phillips of Grand Blanc; and nieces and nephews, Nicholas (Lauren), Amy (Terry), Melissa (Drew), Brad (Melissa), Gabi, Glory and Colton.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Randall and Gloria Phillips. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Regency of Grand Blanc, for their loving care that Jon received. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
