Maxine Joan Spence (Hubbard), age 90, of Flushing, Michigan, went to meet her Lord and Savior on December 26, 2025.
Maxine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose life was centered around her family. She was united in marriage to her beloved husband, Charles “Bill” Spence, who preceded her in death. Although she worked briefly for the post office, Maxine’s greatest joy came from her role as a homemaker and caregiver to those she loved most.
She is survived by her children Connie (Jim) Herron, Laurie Stacey, and Mark (Jolien) Long; 10 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren, all of whom were the pride and joy of her life. Maxine treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren and found her greatest happiness in being surrounded by family.
Maxine was also an avid doll collector, especially fond of Barbie dolls, a hobby that reflected her joyful spirit and appreciation for meaningful keepsakes.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with the funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 West Pierson Road, Flushing, MI 48433.
A burial service will take place on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Flint Memorial Park, 9506 N. Dort Highway, Mt. Morris, MI 48458.
Maxine will be remembered for her gentle heart, unwavering devotion to her family, and the faith that guided her life. She will be deeply missed until the joyful reunion promised in heaven. |
