SHAFFER, SHERRY LYNN– Of St. Charles, age 62, passed away Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital.
Private service to be determined.
Sherry was born in Flint, Michigan on October 8, 1963, the daughter of Jack and Clifflynn (Cease) Green.
She married Kevin Shaffer on July 25, 1982 in Flint, Michigan, they met in 1980 before she went on vacation and much to Kevin’s surprise, she sent a postcard. The relationship has been wonderful ever since.
Beloved wife, companion and mother she was a very special woman that enjoyed life and her family.
Sherry loved game shows, crime shows, soap operas like General Hospital, wordscapes, and phone games. She loved to be surrounded by laughter. She was an excellent cook and loved passing recipes and skills down to family. She loved her fur babies Minnie and Prince.
She is survived by her husband, Kevin, daughter, Jennifer, son, Kevin II; siblings, Edward, Randy and Kim Green, Dave and Cindi Green, Renea Knight.
She was preceded in death by her father, twin brother and sister Anthony and Annette, brother-in-law Johnny Knight and her pets Tiny and Bowser.
