YANCHO, George - age 92, passed away on November 24, 2017 in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 2pm – 8pm with Rosary Prayer Service at 7pm at Hill Funeral Home – 11723 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 1:30pm with one hour of visitation prior to Mass with Monsignor Jerry Vincke celebrating, at Holy Family Catholic Church – 11804 S. Saginaw Street, Grand Blanc, Michigan. Interment to take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery at a later date. George was born on March 3, 1925 to the late Emery and Mary (Marzonie) Yancho in Flint, Michigan. On February 3, 1951 in Flint, Michigan, George married the love of his life, Mary Christoph. Together they built a life full of happiness and love. George honorably served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of the VFW 822, Knights of Columbus, and was a Scout Master for many years. He worked for GM for 40 years beginning at Buick, retiring from the Grand Blanc “Tank Plant” as a Tool & Die Maker. George was a farmer from 1963 – to present, he founded and owned Trim Pines Farm in 1987. George is survived by his wife, Mary (Christoph) Yancho; children: Michael Yancho Sr., Dennis Yancho, George Yancho, and Lynn (Yancho) Lusty.
