MUELLER, William J. - age 84, of Swartz Creek, died March 21, 2017 at McLaren - Flint. Funeral services will be held 1:30 PM Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Swartz Creek United Methodist Church, 7400 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Dr. Gary Glanville officiating. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Saturday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Swartz Creek United Methodist Church Building Fund. Bill was born October 3, 1932 in LaSalle, MI, the fifth son of six sons to Frederick and Elizabeth Mueller who emigrated from Germany in 1929. He graduated from Flint Northern High School in 1950 and served in the U.S. Army from 1952-1954. He was a tool and die maker and member of Local 1292. Bill retired from Fisher Body Grand Blanc in 1993. He married Norma Lewis on September 6, 1948 in Flint. They have three sons and five grandsons. He enjoyed his family, traveling, sports, music and was an avid golfer and bowler. He was an active member of Swartz Creek United Methodist Church since 1965. Bill was a 22-gallon blood donor. Surviving are: sons, Douglas (Vicki), John (Janine), and Gary; four granddaughters, Alexandra, Emmi, Reese, and Riley; grandson, Dylan; brother, Charley (Maryetta); and sister-in-law, Debbie Lewis. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Norma in 2010; brothers, Hans, Walt, Fred, and Heinz; and brother-in-law, David Lewis.
