JONES, Eleanor May - of Flint, age 86, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2014 at her residence. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday, March 22, 2014 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, G-5199 Richfield Rd., Flint; Rev. Fr. Francis Faraci celebrant. Burial will be in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 2-8 PM at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Saturday at the church. A Rosary will be prayed 6:30 PM and a Daughters of Isabella Service at 7 PM Friday at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Disabled Veterans of America.
Eleanor was born in Flint, MI on September 1, 1927, daughter to the late Bernard and Helen (Szabo) Zielinski. She married J.C. Glen Jones on November 25, 1944 in Flint, MI, who preceded her in death February 9, 1992. Eleanor was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella. She was an avid golfer and loved gambling and supporting Native Americans of Mt. Pleasant.
Eleanor is survived by children, Robert (Mary), Jim and Julene; grandchildren, Jake II and DayLynn, Robert II (Dani), Adam and Amanda, Preston, Courtney (David), Nate (Jenny), Lindsey (Chad); great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Jake, Lily, Robert III, Layla, Lindsey and Max; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Sue Addison, Velma Savoie, and Ivan Adkins.
