KING, Beverly Ann – of Burton, MI, age 82, was welcomed into the loving arms of her Savior on June 15, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5191 Richfield Rd., Flint, MI 48506; Fr. Roy Horning celebrant. Interment will take place following the Mass at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 1:00 – 7:30 PM on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison. There will be one hour of visitation prior to the Mass on Thursday at the church. A Memorial Tribute will be held at 7 PM Wednesday under the auspices of the Davison VFW Auxiliary Post 4087. A Rosary will be prayed at 7:30 PM on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen Organization.
Beverly Ann Strzynski was born in Flint on September 25, 1942, daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Borowiak) Strzynski. She married Gerald King on June 24, 1961, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Flint. Bev was a hard worker, dedicating many years to her career at Flint Convention Bureau, Tourist Bureau in Cheboygan and the Habitat for Humanity in Cheboygan. She was a member of the Davison VFW Auxiliary Post 4087, Davison Eagles and the Zonta Club. Her passion for others was evident in her volunteer work with McLaren Hospital and Gentiva Hospice. Bev’s family will forever remember her for her passion for the Lord and her dedication to serving Him at Holy Rosary where she was an Extraordinary Minister of the Holy Eucharist, a lector, a member of the Stephen Ministry and the choir. Her family was second only to the Lord. Bev was always willing to rearrange her schedule to be present for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was the matriarch of her family. Bev had a huge personality whose void will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Bev is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Gerald King; children, Jerry (Lisa) King, Julie (Craig) Stephens, Mike (Laura) King; 8 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Peggy Strzynski, Kim Edwards, Cathy (Bob) Stacey, Kenneth (Susan) King, Joe (Sharon) King, Charlotte (Joe) Hughes, Audrey (Brad) Litz; many other loving family members and friends. In addition to her parents, Joseph and Dorothy Strzynski, Kenneth and Helen King; Bev was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph Strzynski, Terry Edwards, and Steve (Judy) King; sisters, Sandy King and Geneva (Hank) Krueger. The family wishes to say a special thank you to Fresenius Kidney Care of Davison, especially, Faye and Gentiva Hospice.
