Clevenger, Frank – of Clio, age 97, passed away Tuesday, April 7. 2026 at his home. The family will receive visitors on Saturday from 10AM until 11AM at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Clio. A Graveside service will follow, with burial in Thetford Township Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to disabled veterans.
Frank was born January 7, 1929, in Vaughnsville, Ohio to the late Frank and Leora (Herron) Clevenger. Frank graduated from Clio High School and married his sweetheart, Donna, on June 17, 1950. Frank proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. For 36 years, Frank worked in skill trades for General Motors, where his incredible craftsmanship and dedication made a lasting impact. A proud member of the Clio Historical Society and the Clio VFW, Frank enjoyed connecting with his community. Frank was a simple man who found joy in the great outdoors. He had a special passion for tapping maple trees for syrup, enjoying the peacefulness of nature and the satisfaction of his harvest. His laughter, kindness, and gentle spirit will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Surviving are: Children: Terry (sherry) Clevenger, Tim Clevenger and Kathy Clevenger (LJ Mikusek); 8 Grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is preceded in passing by his wife, Donna Clevenger and grandson, Steven Lorenz.
