DEVIN, Janet M. – of Columbiaville, formerly of Davison, MI, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at her residence. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held 1 PM Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Pete Scribner officiating. Visitation will be 11 AM until the time of the service on Tuesday. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
Janet was born in Flint, MI on November 15, 1936, daughter of the late Wilbert and Vera (Sperow) Fernee. She worked as an executive secretary before becoming a real estate agent in Lake Havasu City, AZ, where she worked for ten years, before returning to Michigan. After retiring, she volunteered crocheting hospital preemie blankets, driving seniors on day trips, and caring for ill seniors.
Janet is survived by her two daughters, Dawn (Hickok) Heidtman and husband Randy of Columbiaville, MI, and Cheryl (Hickok) Roy and husband Ken of Davison, MI; five grandchildren, Ray Heidtman, David (September) Heidtman, Dana Heidtman, Christina Roy and Chad Roy; two great grandchildren, Everest Heidtman and Hadassah Heidtman; brother, Jerry (Kathy) Fernee; sisters, Joanne (Bill) Buck and Sharon (Ken) Yeakel; close family friends, Max Duncan and Jonas (Simone) Runkel.
