Cooper, Ronnie M. – of Tawas, Michigan, formerly Flint, age 69, died Sunday, June 13,2021 at his residence. Funeral Services will be held 11AM Thursday, June 17, 2021, at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home of Clio. Burial to follow at Tanner Cemetery in Flint. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 2PM until 8PM and on Thursday from 10AM until the time of service.
Ronnie was born July 24, 1951, in Monticello, Illinois to the late Eli and Doris (Klett) Cooper. He graduated from Mt. Morris High School in 1969 and soon met his wife, Ann Hipkins. Ronnie and Ann were married on February 2, 1971. He worked faithfully for over 30 years as a welder at General Motors before retiring in 2000. Ronnie was a Michigan outdoorsman, who loved hunting and fishing, golf, tennis, bowling, and volleyball or really any sport that included a ball. He was the neighborhood Dad and thought he was everyone’s coach too. Ronnie was a big teddy bear, a proud girl dad, and a family man. He will be missed for his love for his family and grandkids.
Surviving are: Soulmate, Ann Cooper; Daughters: Cheryl Huntoon, Stacie (Jason) Tello, and Sabrina (Justin) Villaire; Grandchildren: Ashley, Donnie, Jadelyn, Austin, Malia, Marissa, Cooper, Izabella; Great-grandchildren: Cadine, Logan. Keegan, Parker; Brothers: Alfred, Ike, Wilbur, Fred, Clyde, Ricky, Eric; Sisters: Sonya, Cheryl, and Penny; Brother-in-laws: Rich and Robert; Sister-in-law, Pam; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, Eli and Doris Cooper; siblings: Mandy, Wilma, Ruth, Mike, and Albert, Father-in-law, Robert Hipkins; Mother-in-law, Delores Hipkins; Brother-in-laws: Don, and Dennis; Sister-in-law, Sharon.
