Fisher, Laura Marie of Birch Run, age 76, peacefully left us to be with God and her heavenly family on April 7th, 2025. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place and there will be a celebration of life planned for a later date.
Laura was born in Flint, Michigan on January 10th,1949 to the late Altus Cox and Rose Cox Musgraves (Carpentier). She married Arnold Fisher on March 25,1966 and they shared many loving years together until his passing in April 2020. Anyone that knew Laura knew that her family meant everything in the world to her. From her children and their spouses to her most beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Laura adored both her extended Cox family as well as her Carpentier family. Those who knew her will remember her love of dancing and sports, her big heart and her unwavering pride in her family.
Surviving are: Son: Frank and family. Daughters: Dawn Fisher, Kimberly Fitzmaurice (Greg), Jennifer Pittman (Michael), and Melissa Fisher. Grandchildren: Alexa Fisher (Calvin Jacobs), Calleigh Fisher (Ben Ward), Mariah Turner, Nicholas Fitzmaurice (Haylee), Gabrielle Carpentier (Andrew Wurch), and Vivienne Wachner…eternally “Grandma’s baby girl”. Great Grandchildren: Kaia Jacobs, Ian Jacobs, and Harvey Turner Boursinhac. Brother: Steven Cox. Very special friends Marita Vasquez, Cheryl Ross and Patricia Drew. Laura is proceeded in death by her loving husband Arnold Fisher and brothers: Franklin Cox, Louis Cox and Daniel Cox.
