ENDAHL, Clark G. – A 20-year resident of Marne, Michigan, age 71, was taken by our Lord to a pain-free place on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Sanctuary at St. Mary’s in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Funeral service will be held 11am Monday, April 1, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint,
Pastor Steve Wood officiating.
Burial in Evergreen Cemetery with military service under the auspices of Chevrolet Motor VFW Post #3087 Honor Guard.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mission K-9 Rescue or Air Force Aid Society in the name of Clark G. Endahl (USAF, Ret) or Hospice of Michigan.
Visitation 2-6pm Sunday and 10am Monday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Clark was born in Flint (Genesee County) Michigan on June 25, 1947, the son of George H.J. and Betty J. (Clark) Endahl. He grew up in Flint, graduating from Southwestern High School, Class of 1965 and Northern Michigan University (Marquette) in 1969. Clark served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring in 1994 after more than 23 years of service. He enjoyed woodworking, bowling and golfing. Clark was a loving husband, father, brother, son, and Superman.
Surviving are wife of over 50 years, Gayla (Smith) Endahl of Marne;
son, John (Kimberly) Endahl of Auburndale, FL (formerly of Ann Arbor);
brother, John R. (Elaine) Endahl of Williamston, MI;
nephews, David J.R. (Meghan) Endahl of Milan, MI; and Matthew P.G. Endahl of Nashville, TN;
niece, Katherine E. “Katy” Endahl of Berlin, Germany;
and grand-nephew, Isaiah J. Endahl of Milan, MI;
special cousins, George W.H. Endahl of Palatine, IL, and Barbara D. Endahl of Grand Blanc, MI.
He was preceded in death by his son, Chris Endahl (1977), and his parents, George (1981) and Betty (2008).
