STIMAC, Germaine Ann – of Flint, age 74, passed away March 31, 2014 at Genesys Health Park-Grand Blanc. A Funeral Service will be held 11 AM Thursday, April 3, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Fr. Thomas Nenneau celebrant. Burial will be in Tanner Cemetery. Visitation will be 1-4 and 6-8 PM Wednesday, 10-11 AM Thursday. A Rosary will be prayed 7 PM Wednesday.
Germaine was born in Flint, MI on May 11, 1939, daughter of the late Wilfred and Amelia (Psutka) LaVoie. She graduated from Saint Agnes High School in 1957 and married Joseph J. Stimac Jr. in the fall of 1957. Germaine was a member of the Croatian Fraternal Union, the SNPJ and the Slovene National Benefits Society and served as Lodge#529’s President for many years. She loved knitting and spending time with her family and friends.
Germaine is survived by her children, Joseph III and Vickie Stimac, Deborah Stimac, Lori (Daryl) Saultman, David (DeeLinda), Michael, Matthew and Tiffany Martel and dearest Sarah; grandchildren, Toby Mitchell, Tara Stimac, Joseph Stimac IV, Jonathon Galey, Michelle (Mark) Boudreau, Danny Saultman and Brittney Little, Grant (Samantha) Saultman, Sophia Stimac, David Stimac, Evan Stimac, Max Stimac and Kaden Martel; great-grandchildren, Jacob and Isabel Boudreau, Brooklyn and Emma Saultman; many loved cousins, nieces, nephews and relatives from Kitchener, Ontario, Canada. Special recognition to her high school and lifetime friend, Joyce (Schaap) Hopper for her love and continued support during her life. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Mimi (Germaine) Stimac; parents, Wilfred and Amelia; sister, Carolyn (LaVoie) Layne; cousin, Louise (Tootie) Clemmer.
