LAROCK, Francis “Rocky” Hans -of Burt, age 81, died Monday, September 21, 2026 at his residence. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, September 28, 2026 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Montrose, Michigan. Rev. Fr. officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery at 10:30 AM Wednesday, September 30, 2026 . The family will receive visitors on Sunday, September 27, 2026 from 1-8 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Montrose Football Program.

Rocky was born September 16, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Erwin and Bernadette (Naylor) LaRock. He grew up in Montrose, Michigan and graduated from Clio High School with the class of 1965. Rocky proudly served in the US Air Force from 1965 to 1968. He married Susan Hundt on February 26, 1971 in Flint, Michigan and she preceded him in death. Prior to his retirement in 1999, Rocky worked for GM on the sheet metal stamping line with 30 years of service. Rocky was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church and served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a Scout Leader for Troop 148, a member of the UAW Local 659, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Rocky loved football and was a big supporter of Montrose Rams Football Program. He enjoyed playing cards, cribbage and hunting with his brother Roger. Rocky was a big Elvis fan and enjoyed being out in the community socializing.

Surviving are: Children, Michelle (Allen) Meissner, Michael Hendricks, Francis “Hans” LaRock Jr., Robert “Bob” LaRock, Joseph LaRock; Grandchildren, Caroline Bays, Nicholas LaRock, Amanda Hendricks, William “Tyler” Hemingway; Great Grandchildren, Connor Edwards, Riley Edwards, Olivia Flynt; Siblings, Erwin (Kathleen) LaRock, Sylvia Chapman, Jeanette Kaufman, Audrey White; Sister in laws, June LaRock, Debbie LaRock, Judy Stevens; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Wife, Susan LaRock; Siblings, Gerald LaRock, Lee LaRock, Roger LaRock, Frank Stevens, Bruce LaRock, Naomi (Cecil) Cross, Donna (Loren) Dale, Bonnie (Art) Walter; Brother-in-law, Glen Chapman.
