DIPZINSKI, Betty Lou, age 88, passed away peacefully, surrounded with love on Friday, October 9, 2026. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 14th at 3:00pm at the Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel located at 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, Michigan with Rev. Dr. Joseph Novak officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1:00p until the time of service.
Betty was born to John and Elizabeth Kalocy in Flint, Michigan on April 26 1938. She attended Sacred Heart Parish and school where she was active and engaged in her youth. As an adult, she was a homemaker and social butterfly. Whether she was hosting family or befriending strangers, Betty gave her full attention. There was nothing she was more attentive to or loved more than spending time and traveling with her beloved husband, Eugene, and cherished family. Her laughter, stories, and compassion live on through her loved ones. A special thank you to Pam Erickson and the amazing team at Swank Assisted Living for their outstanding care and love.
Betty is survived by her husband, Eugene; daughters, Debbie (Scott) Kennedy, Shellie (Jim) Schocke, and Charlene (Jeff) Gibney; grandchildren, Josh (Stacey) Kennedy, Jon Schocke, Mila (Floyd) Forrest; great-grandchildren, Brynn, Noah, Jamie, and Harry.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Rebecca “Becky” Hawrylo; brother, Lewis, and sister, Eleanor.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations supporting the wonderful work and music therapy of the teams at the Medical Team Hospice* and Heart to Heart Hospice^.
