WILLIAMS, Marjorie “Marge” – Of Flint, age 88, on Wednesday, February 26, 2014 she went to be with her soul mate of 68 ½ years, who preceded her in death on February 14, 2014.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 12 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2014
at St. Michael Catholic Church, 609 East Fifth Avenue, Flint,
Reverend Monsignor Richard J. Groshek officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church or a charity of one's choice.
Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Visitation 10 a.m. Monday at the church until the time of the Mass.
Marjorie was born in Flint, MI on January 26, 1926, the daughter of Archie and Vila (Perkins) Wendel.
On June 30, 1945, she married Wallace “Tubby” Williams in the St. Michael Rectory in Flint.
Marjorie was a charter member 45 years of the St. Jude Guild of St. Michael-Flint, member of the Rosary Altar Society, Girl Scout Leader and a proud Usher partner with her husband at St. Michael Catholic Church.
She loved to travel, was a great card player and good bowler.
Most loved by her children and grandchildren and respected by her many friends.
Surviving are daughter, Susan Daunt;
sons, Paul and wife Beverly of Nevada and Mark and wife Christine of Genesee Township;
grandchildren, Melissa, Jeremy (Corinna), Nathan (Gina), Jonathon (Megan), and Kevin Daunt, Saul and Anthony Williams and Matthew (Amber) and Kristen (Brian) Williams;
great-grandchildren, Lela Daunt, Lily Williams;
sister, Christeen Vejnovich of Nebraska; sister-in-law, Mary Ellen (Bob) Smith;
brother-in-law, Phillip and wife Betty of Kentucky and also survived by nephews.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Jerry Daunt; grandson, Adam Daunt; brothers-in-law, Harry Churchill, Sam Vejnovich and Norman Williams; sister, Imogene Williams and sister-in-law, Anita Churchill.
