Donna J. Kingsbury
Age 79 of Owosso passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at Genesys Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held 12noon Saturday, October 19, 2013 at Nelson-House Funeral Home with Pastor John Walworth. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 3 to 8pm.
Donna was born June 16, 1934 in Owosso, the daughter of Wayne and Viola (Nolph) Sworthwood.
She graduated from Corunna High School, class of 1952 and married Lavere Kingsbury at St. Paul Christ Episcopal in Corunna on June 21, 1952.
Donna had a love for raising horses and especially enjoyed watching them race at the track. She looked forward to trips in the motor home and traveling to Arizona, Vegas and wintering in Florida.
Donna was a homemaker and spent her life taking care of her family along with helping on the family farm. After her kids grew up she found her niche to go with her gift and found herself selling Tupperware and Amway.
She is survived by her husband Lavere; children Connie (Bill) Pugh, Pam (Steve) Hamilton and Mike (Jodi) Kingsbury; 7 grandchildren Jason (Allison) Eicher, Jennifer (Kevin) Price, Jamie (Mike) Richmond, Brandon Mead (Jennifer Wisenbaugh), Bradley (Jessica) Mead, Adam Kingsbury (Megan Pagelkopf), and Ashley Kingsbury; 7 great-grandchildren Camus, Aries, Emmry, Austin, Evan, Bryce and Nicholas; sister-in-law Judy Hocking; brother Gary (Carol) Sworthwood.
Donna was predeceased by her brother Marvin Swarthwood.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Shiawassee County 4H or Shiawassee County Fairgrounds.
