Connie S. Merrill
Age 79 of Perry, formerly of Vernon, Connie Merrill passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Nelson-House Funeral Home. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Monday, February 2, 2026, from 4 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.
Connie was born on October 16, 1946, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Clarence and Virgilene (Bailey) Wiseley.
She was a graduate of Durand High School, class of 1965, and a devoted member of the Gracepointe Wesleyan Church.
Passionate about music, Connie could often be found singing, and dancing in joyous expression. She had a love of movies and an incredible knowledge that never ceased to impress. Connie expressed her creativity through various projects from crocheting, to arts and crafts. She found great joy in shopping and exploring new places with her loved ones. One of Connie's most memorable qualities was her constant expression of kindness to others and devotion to charity.

She actively volunteered in many areas in the school system, touching the lives of many children in her community.
She married the love of her life, Doug Merrill, on December 6, 1975, at the Durand Congregational Church. Together, they built a beautiful family and a warm home filled with love.
Connie is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Doug; children, Regina (Brandon) Sanchez and Erica Speight; grandchildren, Devin and Oliver; brother, Beesley Wiseley; sister, Nancy (Albert) Poisson; several nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends.
She was predeceased by her, parents, and brother, Douglas Wiseley
