DANIELS, Dee Lavern – of Maple Grove Township, age 84, died Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Covenant Healthcare of Saginaw. Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 PM Thursday, June 17, 2021 at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Pastor Mike Stark officiating. Burial in Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 12:00 PM until time of service at 2:30 PM at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Memorial contributions can be made to the family for future designation.

Dee was born July 15, 1936 in Flint, Michigan to the late John and Pauline (Logie) Daniels. He grew up in Maple Grove Township and attended Chesaning Schools. On January 26, 1957 he married Shirley Camehl in Burt, Michigan. Prior to his retirement, Dee worked for GM-Buick with 36 ½ years of service. He was a member of the Montrose Wesleyan Church, Lifetime member of the Frankenmuth Archery Club, and the Birch Run Saddle Club. Dee enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and crafts. He worked for the Dixie Speedway for several years at the gate. He loved playing tricks on family and friends. However, his greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving are: Wife of 64 years, Shirley Daniels; Children, Gary (Wanda) Daniels, Sherry (John) Nichols, Loyd (Karen) Daniels, Norman (Krista) Daniels; Grandchildren, Carrie (Steve) Hall, DeAnn (Jacob) Clark, Joseph Gross, Duane (Becky) Ruhl, Patricia (Zac) Willbanks, David Green Jr., John Daniels, Tiffany (Kasey) Daniels, Jacob Wright, Shelbi Daniels; 10 Great Grandchildren; Sister in law, Donna Camehl; Brother in laws, Loyd (Liz) Camehl, Wayne Tinkham, Bill (Roberta) Camehl. He was preceded in death by his Parents; Son in law, Kevin Hescott; Special Nephew, Little Loyde Camehl; Brother in laws, Danny Lash, Dan Camehl, Sidney Reed; Sister in laws, Marsha Tinkham, Mary Camehl, Linda Camehl.
