Kerr, Beth Anne, “Nana East”, beloved mother, grandmother and retired elementary teacher, was called home on September 10, 2025.
Cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held this October. Location, date and times will be announced shortly.
Beth was born in Gary, Indiana on April 27, 1948, the daughter of the late James and Carol (Kenady) Vasil. She began her teaching career in 1970, and spent nearly 40 years shaping young minds in the Flushing community. Even after retiring, Beth continued to work with children in local daycares and most recently with the ECC Latch Key Program, only stepping away to retire one final time. She truly loved her students and remembered them all.
Beth is missed by her daughter, Courtenay (Fiancé, Mark Rohloff) Robinson; brother, James (Linda) Vasil; sister, Paula (Byron) Taylor; Earle Robinson Jr., (father of grandson, Andrew); and last, but not least, grandsons, Andrew Robinson and Jackson Rohloff, whom she lovingly referred to as her most precious gifts.
