STEPHENSON, Daniel “Dano” Lee – of Flint, MI, age 48, passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 at Detroit Receiving Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held 1 PM Friday, February 24, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison, MI 48423. Dan will be entombed immediately following in Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 11 AM-8 PM Thursday, February 23, 2017 and 12-1 PM Friday, February 24, 2017 at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, in Dan’s memory.
Dan was born in Flint, MI on June 10, 1968, son of Bill and the late Sylvia (Johnson) Stephenson. He was a dedicated employee of Niles Industrial Coatings of Fenton, MI. Dan was a member of Laborers’ Local 1191 in Detroit, MI. Dan’s pride and joy was his six grandchildren. He spent all of his spare time with them. From sporting events they participated in to just reading a book or watching cartoons with them. Dan was a kind soul, helping his neighbors and friends, even total strangers was a daily thing for him and he was loved by all.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer; 2 sons, Kenneth Roberts and Derrick (Jamie) Beard; 6 grandchildren, Dustin, Alexis and Emma Roberts, Tyryn, Ava and Kayden Beard; 2 brothers, Wild Bill (Michele) Stephenson II and Tom (Lucinda) Stephenson; niece, Michele (Emily) Stephenson; 2 nephews, Damien (Taylor) Stephenson and Anthony Stephenson; 4 sisters-in-law, Patricia (Paul) Keech, Valarie (Troy) Elliott, Urvana Tracey Morse and Sophia (Brian) Penna; brother-in-law, Benjamin Tracey; 2 chosen brothers, Jim Drennan and Jeff Boduch; lifetime friends, Mike Noyce and James Kuhl; special family members, Patty, Dewey and Jamie; many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by brother-in-law, Randy Tracey; mother-in-law, Urvanita Amaya Tracey and father-in-law, Benjamin Tracey, II.
