Hursh, Robert L. – of Montrose, age 92, peacefully passed away Friday, January 27, 2023, at his residence surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held at 1PM on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at the O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Montrose. Burial to follow at Montrose Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 11AM until the time of service.
Robert was born November 1, 1930, in Flint, Michigan, to the late Aubrey and Thelma (Root) Hursh. He retired from Buick after 43 years. Robert married the love of his life, Bessie Davis on July 29, 1950, enjoying 72 years of marriage. He had an abiding faith and trust in our Lord Jesus Christ, along with an empathy and compassion for others. He was quick witted and had a good sense of humor, bringing a smile to those he knew. Robert enjoyed his grandchildren, old tractors, hunting, fishing, photography and being in the outdoors. Most of all, he loved his family and will be greatly missed.
Surviving are: Loving wife, Bessie Hursh; Children: Beverly Stevens, Brenda (Fred) Goebert, Bonnie (Mark) Wielock, Barbara Hursh, Robert Hursh Jr: Grandchildren: Nathan (Marybeth) Stevens, Mark (Christy) Stevens, Timothy (Nicole) Stevens, Lisa Stevens (Brian Wallace), Amy (Kerry) Webb, Bryan (Amy) Goebert, Chad (Dana) Goebert, Jacob (Samantha) Wielock, Autumn (Eric) Thurston, Haleigh (John) Sprouse, Caleb (Ashley) Wielock, Robert (Mallory) Hursh Seth (Lara) Hursh and Granddaughter in law, Carrie Stevens; Many great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren and brother, Stewart Hursh; He is preceded in death by his brother, Aubrey Lavern Hursh, and son-in-law, Kenneth Stevens.
