WILLIAMS, Geraldine “Gerry” Marie– of Grand Blanc, formerly of Davison, age 95, passed away August 11, 2015 at Abbey Park. A Funeral Service will be held 12 Noon Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Rev. Daniel Wallace officiating. Burial will be in Davison Cemetery. Visitation will be 10AM-12 Noon on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Medical Team Hospice, Davison UMC or a charity of one’s choice.
Gerry was born in Goodrich, MI on March 21, 1920, daughter of the late Dr. Arthur and Vera (Stimson) Harrison. She married Paul D. Williams on July 27, 1944 and he preceded her in death on June 30, 2006. They had been married 61 years. Gerry belonged to the Davison Womens Club, United Methodist Church, an Eastern Star and Jesterettes. She was a 3rd grade teacher for Davison Schools for many years. Gerry loved square dancing and was very active with her grandchildren and family.
Gerry is survived by her children, Dr. Keith (Sue) Williams, Connie M. Heinzmann (fiancé, Dr. jay Castner); grandchildren, Stephanie Rose, Jessica (Ron) Williams-Ledesma, Alissa (Preston) Williams-Westerman, Paula (Michael) Ryan; great-grandson, Eddie J. Ryan; great-granddaughter, Lexi Westerman; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her step-mother, Jean Harrison; brother, Robert Harrison; sister, Bethany Sukup. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Staff of Abbey Park, the medical team and Medical Team Hospice for their compassionate caring of Gerry.
