DERMINER, RAY – Of Burton, age 65, passed away Monday, March 16, 2026.
Cremation has taken place.
Ray was born in Flint, Michigan on December 15, 1960, the son of the late Harry and Cletus DerMiner.
Ray was a man known for his incredible work ethic and his heart of gold.
On April 9, 1988, he married the love of his life, Joyce Ray, with whom he built a beautiful life centered on family and service to others.
Ray was a true outdoorsman who found peace while fishing and camping. Whether he was out on the water or enjoying the local bowling lanes, he embraced life with an active spirit. He was an avid fan of race cars and especially “Figure 8" racing, a passion that matched his energetic nature. He was a member of God's Word Ministry Church.
Above all, Ray was a man who would do anything for anybody at the drop of a hat. He was a devoted family man who loved his wife, his family, and his dogs dearly.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce; his daughter, Michele (Doug) Turner; his grandchildren, Timothy Dadovich and Alaina Ryan; and his great-grandchild, Kade. He is also survived by his stepmother, Jackie DerMiner, and his siblings: Linda (Dennis) Winer, Tammy Flynn, Rob (Kim) Gerow, Brian (Tina) Gerow, Kevin (Jill) Gerow, and Terry (Valerie) Gerow.
His best friend Ken Greer.
A memorial service will be held at a later date to celebrate Ray’s life.
