VALIK, Patricia “Pat” (McConnell) – of Davison, age 77, passed away March 31, 2014 at Genesys Convalescent Center. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, April 4, 2014 at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison; Pastor Chris Radcliffe officiating. Burial will be in Meadowview Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 12-3 & 5-8 PM Thursday and 10-11 AM Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan.
Pat was born in Flint, MI on August 14, 1936, daughter of the late Howard Hoffman and Nellie Harrison. Patricia McConnell married Tony Valik on May 6, 2006. Pat was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church of Davison. She was involved with the TLC organization and served on the Pastoral Care Group for many years. Pat worked at Genesys Hospital for 25 years.
Pat is survived by her husband, Tony; children, Mark (Phyllis) McConnell of Columbiaville, Keith McConnell of Reese, MI and Todd (Laura) McConnell of Elkhart, IN; stepson, Ryan (Heather) Valik; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathy (Dennis) Covell of Springhill, TN, Donna (George) Ochoa of Flint; sister-in-law, Deidra Hoffman of Nashville, TN; many other wonderful family and friends. She was preceded in death by sister, Judy Keyser; brothers, Ed and Fred Hoffman.
