Patricia (Wonderful Pat) Carrington
Age 75 passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Fair Oaks Hospital in Fairfax, VA.
Mrs. Patricia Carrington was born February 9, 1946 in Pikeville, Kentucky to Virginia Wrenn and James Mullins. In her early years she lived with her beloved Grandmother Martha Ann Martin Wrenn.
Patricia moved to Flint, Michigan as a young teen to be with her mother Virginia Wrenn Hopkins, father William Hopkins, and eight younger siblings. In Flint, Michigan is where she would live most of her adult life including Texas, California, and St. Louis, MO.
Her nature of caring for others led her to work in the medical profession as a Dialysis Technician retiring in 2004 from Hurley Medical Center in Flint, MI. After she retired, she moved to Centreville, VA.
After retirement Patricia would spend her time traveling on cruises, road trips, cooking, and attending her senior center where she made teddy bears for sick children at the local hospitals.
Patricia leaves to cherish her Children: Martha Thomas of Centreville, VA, Richard (Kendra) Lee of Swartz Creek, MI, Imari Lee of Atlanta, GA.
6 Stepchildren; 11 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren; 13 Siblings
A host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Patricia was preceded in death by her Grandparents: Martha Ann Martin Wrenn and David Wrenn; Mother: Virginia Jones, Fathers: William Hopkins and James Mullins; Husband: Julius Carrington Sr.; Stepson: Julius Carrington Jr.; Aunts: Minnie Cabell and Helen Benson; Uncles: David Wrenn II and James Lark; Nephew: Phillip Johnson
The family would like to extend a personal thank you to the Fairfax EMT and Fire Department station 438 West Centreville and Fairfax County Police Department, The Medical Staff at Fair Oaks Hospital, Bishop Jim Zanotti and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints family.
