STARKEY, Kenneth J. – of Flint, age 70, died Sunday, August 30, 2020 at McLaren Flint. Funeral services will be held at 2PM Thursday, September 3, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Mt. Morris – 800 Louisa St., in Mt. Morris. Pastor Kevin Dixson officiating. Cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors at the church on Thursday from 11AM until the time of service at 2PM.
Kenneth was born May 3, 1950 in Flint, Michigan to George and Mabel (Hawley) Starkey. He graduated from Clio High School in 1968. Kenneth retired from General Motors - Buick in 1998 with 30 years seniority and was a member of the UAW Local #599. Kenneth loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed riding motorcycles. Kenneth was a loveable man and above all, loved spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are: Children: Ken Starkey, Jr., Annette Lester, Jill (Bob) Leos, Jeff Lester, and Laura (Tom) Pollard; Mother, Mabel Starkey; Grandchildren: Caitlin (Matthew) Sloop, Andrew Winstead, Marcus Bilsby, Kile Lester, Shaylin Lester, Kadin Lester, Karmen Leos, Kirsten Leos, Jamie Prentice, and Heather Krueger; Great grandchildren: Eden Sloop, Archie Lester, Harlin Lester, Jace Prentice, and Sophia Marie Prentice; Siblings: Deb (Kristy) Starkey, Mike Starkey, and Dennis (Barbara) Starkey; Lifelong friend, Billy Lester. Many other loving nieces, nephews, other loving family members and friends. Kenneth was preceded in death by his father, George Starkey.
