FITZPATRICK, Lynn Owen – Of Burton, age 90, died Friday, August 29, 2025, at his residence.
Funeral service will be held at 1pm Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating.
Visitation 12-8pm Tuesday, September 2, 2025 and 11am Wednesday until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Burial in Crestwood Cemetery.
Lynn was born in Kennett, Missouri on October 25, 1934, the son of the late Euther and Jewell (Lester) Fitzpatrick. Lynn served in the United States Army overseas and when he returned, he worked at McDonald Dairy in Flint. He retired from McDonald Dairy as the Transportation Supervisor. He also worked at City Coach. He brought in the last electric streetcar in Flint from its last run in Flint in 1956 for its decommissioning. Lynn was a snowbird and an avid golfer. He spent much of his retirement between Florida, Indiana and Michigan.
Surviving are son, Rex (Theresa) Fitzpatrick;
grandchildren, Matthew (Kaitlin) Fitzpatrick and Shawnna (Tim) Shorkey;
great-grandchildren, Andrew Shorkey, Katherine Shorkey, McCoy Fitzpatrick;
and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Yvonne Fitzpatrick, sisters, Barbara Ball and Shirley Revior.
