Deborah L. Thoman of Flushing, age 48, went to be with her Savior on Thursday, January 14,
2021, at her home. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Baptist Church and 1 p.m.
Monday at the church until the time of the funeral. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Monday,
January 18, 2021 at Trinity Baptist Church, 4222 N. Elms Rd. Flushing, MI, with Pastor Seth
Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills.
Deborah was born in Flint, Michigan on November 27, 1972, the daughter of Garland and Kay
(Southwell) Jex. She graduated from Genesee Christian High School in 1990 as valedictorian of her class. She attended Maranatha Baptist Bible College in Watertown, Wisconsin where she
met and fell in love with Kevin Thoman. They were married on June 24, 1995. Deborah taught
high school English at Genesee Christian School, and then homeschooled her children. She
loved singing, crossword puzzles, gardening, and was an avid reader.
Deborah is survived by her husband, Kevin; four children, Kelsey, Kirkland, Lorelei, Levi;
parents, Garland and Kay Jex; brothers Aaron and wife Stacy Jex, Bradley and wife Heather
Jex, Scott and wife Jennifer Jex; sister, Julianne and husband Michael Casion. |
