Macdonald, Lawrence Paul of Flushing, age 81, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 27, 2025, at Medilodge of Montrose. Funeral services will be 12 noon, Monday, March 3, 2025, at Rossell Funeral Home. Larry’s beloved friend, Rev. Lane Loman will officiate the service. Family and friends will gather from 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home until the time of the service at 12 noon. A private burial will take place at Flushing Cemetery.
Lawrence was born on July 28, 1943, the son of Lawrence and Rose Ella (Moliterno) Nepote, Sr. Lawrence was led by his lifelong Christian faith and steadfast commitment to the Lord and shared his faith with his family and friends. He married Ardis Mae Cook on August 24, 1963, at the Genesee Free Methodist Church in Flint. Larry worked for the Genesee Valley Regional Center for over 35 years, working for both Genesee County and the State of Michigan, retiring in 1997. He loved muscle cars, both attending and participating in car shows. Larry enjoyed several cross country motorcycle trips with his wife. Larry loved Gospel Quartet music. His family was his greatest blessing and was a proud husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Larry is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ardis; daughters, Diane Gossett, Lisa (Tim) Coggins; grandchildren, Rachel (Jay) Pickett, Debra (Grant) Coleman, Kyle (Madison) Coggins, Kelsey (Brandon) Lokken; great-grandchildren, Weston, Abigail, Gabriel, Haylee, Micah, Nora, Rebekah, Lydia, Henry, Daniel; brothers, Jim (Lisa) Macdonald, Bill (Kelly) Macdonald; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Grady Gossett, Jr.; and brothers-in-law, David and Bob Cook.
