FREEMAN, Rachel M. – Of Flint, age 88, died Sunday, September 14, 2025, at her residence.
Rachel was born in Flint, Michigan on June 14, 1937, the daughter of Alfred and Claire (Demers) Duchemin.
She married Eugene H. Freeman on September 30, 1955.
Before retiring, Rachel dedicated many years of service to AC Spark Plug, where she was a valued employee. She enjoyed cooking, watching Tiger baseball, playing cards, doing crosswords, reading and she especially enjoyed visiting with her family and friends.
Surviving are her children, Linda Hollenbeck, Larry Freeman and Laura (Matthew) Topham;
Grandchildren, Derrick (Lindsay) Hollenbeck, Gina (Brandon) Rose, Audra Hollenbeck, Pamelyn (Robert)Drubin, Mariea (Rich) Clapper, Kayla (Bruce) Pilon, Jessica (Jonathan) Sabo, Ryan (Kennedy) Freeman, Emily, Justin P. and Lucas Freeman;
Great grandchildren, Addison and Bryce Hollenbeck, Emily, Dylan, Connor and Emree Rose, Zoya, Noah, Riley and Raven Clapper, Declan and Ellie Pilon, Charles Sabo and Myles Freeman.
She was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law Lisa and Jerry DeMaria and her son, Justin B. Freeman.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Genesee County.
The Family will be holding a private memorial dinner to celebrate Rachel’s life.
