Edward W. Blender Jr. 85, of Woodhull, Il passed away Thursday December 30, 2010 in his home. Services are 10:30 Am Monday at the United Church of Woodhull. Burial is in the Oneida , IL. Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-4 PM Sunday at Peterson Wallin Knox Funeral Home in Woodhull where memorials may be left to either the AlWood FFA or ROWVA FFA.

He was born February 3, 1925 in Carthage, Il a son of Edd and Mae McGinnis Blender. He graduated from Media High School and married Dorothy L. Wallis May 28, 1944 at the Old Bedford Christian Church in Blandinsville, Il.
Ed farmed all of his life in the Lomax and Oneida areas. He was a member of several organizations throughout the area as well as being a member of the United Church of Woodhull. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Dorothy, 1 daughter, Barbara
(Harvey) Carlson of Lynn Center, Il, 2 sons, Stephen (Vicki) Blender of Woodhull and David (Susan) Blender of Rutherfordton, N.C., 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandsons, 2 brothers, Dick (Lete) Blender of Rushville, Il , James (Sammy) Blender of Raritan, Il. And several nieces and nephews.
His parents and one sister Alberta Wetterling preceded him in death.
