Norma Jean (Gilson) Wartella of Davison and Otisville age 91, died Friday April 5, 2024 at McLaren- Lapeer Regional Hospital. Honoring her wishes cremation has taken place. A gathering time of family and friends will be held from 11- 1 pm Thursday April 11, 20024 at Hansen Funeral Home Groves Chapel, Downtown Davison; a memorial luncheon will follow at Davison IOOF Hall 2134 N. Irish Rd. Davison.
Private inurnment will be in Smith-Hill Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions in Norma Jean’s memory to the Davison IOOF Lodge.
Norma Jean was born in Flint Michigan on June 1, 1932 the daughter of the late Lloyd and Elizabeth Gilson. She spent her early years in the Otisville area and later relocated to Davison. She was joined in marriage James Wartella on December 8, 1951. Norma Jean loved watching children for her family and friends, and spending time in her flower gardens. She had been employed by Northern Advertising until her retirement.
Surviving are children: Gary and wife Deborah Wartella, Greg Wartella, and Paula Norton. She also leaves her loving four grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. She is preceded in death by daughter Jeana Marie November 2019. Please share your condolences at www.hansenfuneralhome.net |
