HELEN BROWN SLAVIK, age 85 of Otisville, died Sunday, October 25, 2015 at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 11AM on Friday, October 30, 2015 at the Mumford-Hudson Funeral Home, with Gene Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Smith Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 11AM-8PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pet Angel Adoption and Rescue, 380 List St., Frankenmuth, MI 48734. Helen was born on March 26, 1930 to Walter and Thelma Wright. Helen enjoyed making blankets and hats for the hospital. She also liked making crafts, baking, gardening, and reading. She is survived by her children: Robert Brown, Michael (Connie) Brown, Kim Fletcher, and Frank (Eva) Slavik; grandchildren: Kelly, Crystal, Corrie, Rebecca, Andrea, Melissa, Kyle, and Joel; 6 ½ great-grandchildren; lifelong friends: Doris Smith and Dorothy Smith; and beloved cat, Tiny. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Alton Brown and second husband, John Slavik; sisters and parents. |
