Dennis John Kehoe, of Flushing, Michigan, age 73, died Sunday, September 17, 2023. Dennis was born in Flint, Michigan, on August 12, 1950, to J. Claire and Theresa (Lewandowsky) Kehoe. He graduated from St. John Vianney High School in 1968 and the University of Michigan in 1972. Dennis married Nancy Meerdo at SS. Charles and Helena Catholic Church on March 15, 1986. Dennis was a well-loved physics teacher at Powers Catholic High School for 34 years before his second career as a medical physicist at Jeppesen Radiation Oncology Center for 10 years. In his retirement, Dennis enjoyed cycling, gardening, birdwatching, reading, puzzling with his wife, and walking their dog, Ivy. Throughout life, he enjoyed learning new skills and crafts, such as stained glass, wood carving, beekeeping, canning, brewing, and more. Dennis was exceptionally kind and will be deeply missed.
Dennis is survived by his wife, Nancy Kehoe; children, Kate Kehoe, Andrew (Nicole) Kehoe, Emily Kehoe, and Julia (Vincenzo) Kehoe; siblings, Tricia (John) Delmastro, Eileen (Bud) Kehoe, Tim Kehoe, and Martha Kehoe; and granddaughter, Peyton Kehoe. He was preceded in death by his parents, J. Claire and Theresa Kehoe.
In keeping with Dennis’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 11 a.m. at St. John Vianney Catholic Church. Fr. Thomas Firestone will officiate. If desired, memorial contributions may be made to St. Luke N.E.W. Life Center. |
