DUMLER, Walter – of Davison, MI, age 94, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at McLaren Lapeer Region. A Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM at Allen Funeral Home, 9136 Davison Rd., Davison on Saturday, April 26, 2025. Pastor Sarah LaRose-Nettell officiating. Interment will take place following the service in Davison Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 11:00 AM until the time of service on Saturday at Allen Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice, in Walter's memory.
Walter was born in Flint on December 24, 1930, son of the late Gus and Lucile (Henryes) Dumler. He married Mildred “Mickie” DeMott on October 21,1949 and she preceded him in death on December 24, 2023. Walt worked and retired from GM. He had a love for horses. Walt was a blacksmith, he owned horses, rode, roped and reined. Walt also enjoyed swimming. He was a member of the Otisville Masonic Lodge. He will be remembered for being a “people person” and for telling jokes. His greatest joy was found in spending time with his family and friends.
Walter is survived by two children, Tom (Vicki) and Iris (Wade); three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many other loving family members and friends. In addition to his parents and his beloved wife, Walt was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
