SCOTT, James L.-of Birch Run, age 76, died Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at McLaren-Flint. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at 1pm at O’Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery. Family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 10am until time of service.
James was born April 1, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan to the late James and Delcia (Huntley) Scott. He attended Beecher High School and Mott Community College. James was in the Army and Air Force and served in the Vietnam War from 1967-1968. He worked for the Buick Motor Division for 30 years. James loved being with his family, especially when he could spoil them with his cooking. He enjoyed listening and dancing to the songs of his youth and had extensive knowledge of the doo wop songs of the 50s.
Surviving are Children; Jennifer (Dwight) Littlefield, Michelle Washington, Jamie (David) Klinert, Tara (Enrique) Goldstrom, James (Brooke) Scott. Grandchildren; Whitney (Paul) Harrison, Noah Littlefield, Emma Littlefield, Kayle Salas, Alex Salas, Riley Slocum, Lydia Klinert, Harper Klinert, Shelby Klinert, Graysen Goldstrom, Dylan Goldstrom, Ezekiel Scott, Trinity Scott, Everett Scott, Jessica Scott, Gregory Scott,James Scott. Great Grandchild; Matilda Harrison. Siblings; Russel (Darlene) Scott, Judy Scott. Several nieces and nephews.
