Artella Jean “Stella” Beaver, age 71 of Burton, MI, passed away suddenly on December 30, 2025. Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of life will be held on February 1st, 2026, with more details to come.
Artella was born on June 9th, 1954 in Durand, MI to Charles and Nadine Beaver. She was one of eight children and the last surviving sibling, now finally reunited with her family. One can only imagine them all together again- sharing stories, laughter, and being partners in crime.
Artella loved life. She had a rare gift for making people feel seen, supported, and deeply cared for. With her witty sense of humor, she could make anyone smile and feel accepted. She loved loudly and wholeheartedly, leaving an everlasting impression on all who were lucky enough to meet her. She had a heart that always made room for one more person, one more story, and one more laugh. She was everybody’s biggest fan; never missing a chance to call, text, or cheer on the accomplishments of those she loved. Her hugs wrapped around your soul, embracing you with a warmth that could never be replaced.
She found peace in gardening, joy in her family, and truly believed that together
was the best place to be. Always ready for an adventure, she enjoyed being outside in the yard with her dogs Louise and Chief, being a grill master, dancing to music, looking for rocks, and taking trips Up North. Though small in stature, she was mighty in spirit. She made the best hot salad and had a bandana to go with every outfit.
She is survived by her companion of 25 years, Nanette Haubenstricker; Sons Steven (Christine) Haubenstricker, Chad (Marlena) Haubenstricker; 9 grandchildren Tyler (Anjelica), Kaelyn (Justin), Cody, McKenzie, Alex, Chad Michael, Matthew, Emma, and Ella; 4 great grandchildren Anjelina, Braelynn, Remmi, Jaxon; Sister in laws Ruth and Ona Beaver; nieces and nephews Kelly, Laura, Amy, Tina, Cheryl, Kenny, Terra, Larry, Terry, Jerry, and Wesley; and countless friends who meant everything to her.
She is preceeded in death by her parents Charles and Nadine Beaver, and all of her siblings John, Wesley, Lorali, Ashley, Delhia, Ruthie, and Cheryl.
