Barbara Alice Russell (Dow), age 59, of Genesee Twp. was taken to Heaven tragically on June 18, 2021. She was born in Flint, MI the daughter of John A. and Lula M. on August 9, 1961. Barb was the 10th out of 12 children, even growing up in a big family, Barb always knew how to put a smile on your face. Barb graduated from Beecher High School in 1979, and she met Joe Russell in the spring of 1985 and fell in love instantly. They were joined in marriage in 1990 and had 5 children together; Joe F., Andrew S., Linda G., Sarah J. and Eric D. Barb was a stay at home mom who eventually went on to retire from Kroger's. She had a great passion for crafts, spent time doing puzzles, drawing and writing stories. Her favorite past time of all was spending time with her grandchildren. They kept her on her toes. Later in her life she went on to find love again. She met Daniel Wolley in 2007 and felt alive again. Together they spent their time going on road trips, trying new restaurants and enjoying each others company. Her heart grew to love Dan's children as her own; Amber M., Nicole A., Rachel M. and Robert R. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe F. Russell, parents John and Lula Dow, sisters Sandra, Fances and Velma.
