THORNTON, Camille Fay - age 72, of Grand Blanc, passed away June 19, 2021 after a courageous battle with Lung Cancer. Funeral Services 1PM Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc. Pastor Brad Foster officiating. Visitation 2PM-4PM & 6PM-8PM Tuesday and 11AM until the time of service Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Memorial Contributions in Camille's memory would be appreciated to the family.
Camille was born February 26, 1949 in Portageville, MO, the daughter of Lloyd Henry and Clessie Mae (Bailey) Nanney. She married Gary E. Thornton in Burton, March 21, 1970. Camille was known for being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who especially loved being very involved with her family. She enjoyed gardening and decorating for the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas. She truly loved her pet Yorkie, Reeses.
Camille is survived by: her husband, Gary Thornton; daughter, Andrea (Brian) DeVellis; son, Shawn Thornton; grandchildren, Jeffery (Jesika) Bowen, Kristen Brosier, Chelsea Doyle, Kelli Blake, Thea Chippewa, and Shannon Thornton; great grandchildren, Kylie, Mia, Ava, Jeffery III, Liam, Ella; siblings, Wanda Teague, Anita Malyn, Jerry Nanney, Pat (Ben) Vedrody, Janet (Bill) Umphrey; sister in law, Cindy Nanney; many nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the Nursing Staff at McLaren Hospital for their special care provided to Camille and to Loretta King for her support.
Camille was preceded in death by: her parents; daughter Kimberly Ann Brosier, who she dearly missed; brother Dale Nanney, and infant brother, Jimmy Wayne Nanney. Online tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com. |
